A unique and fun Golf experience
The 268-acre course was designed by Bill Ward, Jr. who was an up and coming designer with six golf courses to his credit. Designing 27 holes, Ward made each one with a distinct character to offer a wide range of challenges. Each hole has a story to tell.
Ward brought new ideas to Virginia golf, taking elements from major courses in Florida and California. There are elevated tees; bounce bunkers; rock and railroad tie walls in and around the greens; bunkers waiting to catch an errant shot; an island green; a stunning waterfall Par 3; and seven water crossings making it one of the best golf courses in Virginia.

The design gives every level of golfer an option on how to play the hole – while challenging the golf pro and low-handicapper, it offers a fair test for the high-handicapper. You will always remember you played “The Longest!”
Best Golf Course in Central Virginia
This past year, Meadows Farms Golf Course was awarded Best Golf Course in Central Virginia by Virginia Living Magazine on their Wander List. Our Superintendent, Scott Caskie has turned our course into one of the best golf courses in Virginia with his meticulous care of the grounds. Along with Fescue roughs, pristine Bentgrass greens and gorgeous Bermuda fairways. The Dotson family has repaved the asphalt cart paths, which makes for an enjoyable ride around the course. They have also built gorgeous bulkheads around tee boxes and greens that are close to the water. All the trees have been trimmed and some have even been removed. The course is mowed from wall to wall to keep pace of play a priority so your golf experience is more enjoyable.
Meadows Farms Golf Course recently purchased 100 brand new gas golf carts for your riding pleasure. Each cart has USB charging ports so you can charge your phone while playing golf. This is a great feature if you like listening to music, or if you have downloaded our GPS app. Just so you do not get lost on the cart paths we have three different colored arrows on the course for your convenience, corresponding with the name of each of the three nines we have here. You will not get lost and you will have a great time following the unique nine that you are on and using your MFGC app to guide you on the fairways.
